Rain yesterday, and those lovely fall colors began to deepen. I putted about my house and the town, remembering foreign lands but more content than ever to be here.
Last week, still dry and warmish, I explored around Mt. Pisgah with my friend who knows birds. That’s Kathy spotting a chickadee or some other feathery kin.
There’s the “mountain.”

Remember Highlights magazine and those nifty, almost creepily drawn, hidden pictures?
See if you can spot the real-life turtle (above) and frog (below).

We found the turtle right away, but it took clicking on the picture to find the frog.
Please say hello to Kathy for me! I seem to have missed her every time we have come back for a visit.
Gosh it is so beautiful out there!
Melanie, I’ll be sure to greet Kathy for you. Glad you could locate the frog.
Sandy, ’tis true. I forget each year that fall is pretty, until suddenly it is.
An interactive blog..I love it! Found them both.
I wish I had more stuff like this for fun, Deanna. Thanks for playing…:o)
I love your words. Very Narrow Road to the Interior. It’s got wabi sabi
link? So you can check out the term if it’s unfamiliar. I think you’ll like it
http://www.wabisabi.ca/
It’s a collection of Basho’s poetry.
That’s cool. I’ve always liked haiku-type poetry. I’ll read it. Playing with words, ideas, and life around here. :o)
I saw you from afar at church….It looks like you have had some tremendous adventures! I love “hearing” travel adventures.
Love, Gretchen
