Let’s begin the next four years with civility and respect. I appreciate both major presidential candidates and all they’ve been through. I disagreed with both on several issues. But I am glad for everyone that the pre-election battle is over.
Now I can feel with others joy as an African American man has been elected US President. This is a great moment historically.
My parents marched for civil rights in the 60s. They didn’t vote according to race tonight, but they’ve always spoken up for equality, and they taught me accordingly well.
For now I’ll give the coming administration the benefit of the doubt, and I’ll pray for our leaders, and I’ll show honor to those offices. It would be a good time for everybody to work together; of course, anytime up till now it would’ve also been nice.

I so admired McCain for strongly saying basically these same things in his concession speech tonight–and pointing out that the best bond is being Americans together! I think it’s a proud moment for all of us. God knows there’s enough work ahead for everybody…
On we go.
A good welcome for the next four years. I love what you said though, “It would be a good time for everybody to work together; of course, anytime up till now it would’ve also been nice.”
History was made last night, I only hope now we can move on to do what’s important for us and the world. Obama is a peacemaker I hope he can keep that side of him intact.
I feel sort of anxious and at the same time excited at what lies ahead. It’s all so unknown. Will it be as different as it seems it will? I may hate the difference, I may be angry at what occurs, I may like certain aspects.
It feels weird to just.not.know.
Quite an adventure one way or the other, eh.
I will as Christ did, render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.
I am still deeply saddened and grieved that the voices of the unborn continue to go unheard. That the issue of the economy would speak louder than the issue of human life. We are a country profoundly divided of this fact we cannot deny.
My HOPE still rests in only ONE. The sovereign LORD. I will pray for our leaders as is right and will.
would help if I finished my thought huh? ;-)
and will on bended knee approach these next 4 years.
(Because..I have to tell you as a business owner..looking at it any other way really scares me)
:)
