Again, I have nothing much to offer in the posting department. I watched this movie on DVD today and recalled the intense emotional impact of it, alongside my kids, who were seeing it for the first time.
Later I napped, and beyond that made sure there was still enough wood on the fire to keep it flickering warmly.
Then I conversed long with Victoria about the movie, her generation, Orthodoxy, and a few side topics.
Now I’m too punchy to post. Apologies to you, although I will put up pictures my son took along the freeway yesterday. There’s something, anyway.
A nearly finished bike and walking bridge to one of our malls.
A new overpass atop the old overpass, making one westward turn easier.
Hills. They’re alive, sorta, around here, but most often with cloud-cover. This clearing time was nice.

“Into the Wild” – shivers. In my mind I still see that guy’s taut, smiling face in the last scene. Creeps me out. I think the guy was an idiot, to tell you the truth. My kids are smarter than that, so was I at that age. While I applaud his search, I tsk tsk at his outcome. Shouldn’t have happened that way. This is an example of a movie dramatizing a tragedy that should never have happened. I feel for his parents and other loved ones.
At the same time, there is a lot to be gleaned from the movie.
Is that suspension bridge finished? I mean, the cables have stuff hanging from them. I thought I heard that they are waiting for the finished product and the present cables are temporary. I hope so.
And I LOVE the flyway! What a view!
(You thought you had nothing to say. Must have said plenty – look how long my comment is. ;D Or maybe it is I who have nothing to say??)
(The word verification is ‘bardsin’ Ha!)
Hm, bard’s in, or bard sin? ;o)
A little glance into to your life today is definately something to blog about. Perhaps it’s nothing to you, but to me it’s much more interesting than you think. Thanks Deanna.
Thanks Sandy! Hey, both you and Cherie, we’re getting near the finish line! It has been fun, and I only wish I’d devoted more time to quality here.
HI Deanna,,
If you zoom in ..you can see my house!
We don’t know which house from this angle, Deanna, but I’m sure you know it. That’s kinda fun. :o)
