Thunder storms are supposed to arrive in our area this week. Usually we just see their bulbous clouds forming east of here, over the Cascades. But we love it when their tympani invades the air nearby. If such entertainment arrives, I’ll try to take a picture.
Meanwhile, you might be entertained by my latest piece of microwriting, at flashquake, in their Summer issue.

Ha, ha – my driver’s test was the first test I’d ever failed too! The exam giver passed me with the lowest passing score possible, but technically, I’d flunked as I stalled the car three times.
Ah, memories. I failed by two points or something, the first time. Then I failed the second time, because after stopping for a passing emergency vehicle, I started out again too fast. Finally, on the third try I passed by one or two points. Safe to say I enjoyed it not.
You are GOOD at this form, Deanna!
And make me think I might like it too–I am much more of a sprinter than a marathoner, in writing and almost everything else.
(Though as a runner, in the physical sense, I am in fact a total nonstarter.)
Fresca, you should totally try it (flash submissions, not running, probably, unless you suddenly, on a beautiful blue morning, want to).
Ah, it is a beautiful blue morning here today and I feel the desire to take a walk. : )
I am definitely a walker.
But one of these days I’m going to look into the flash format. Thanks for your encouragement.
(P.S. I keep thinking of you trotting about your living room like Buck!)
I just wanted to tell you that I am enjoying your words, having journeyed here from Beth at Switched at Birth.
Thanks for the way you “speak”, I’ll be back.
Hi, Deb. Thanks so much for stopping by. :o)
