A lady in my first critique group years ago maintained a goal to keep at least ten written things out to publications at all times. This was before email, even. She wrote and sold novels, and I admired her. Though I sold some articles in those days, I never quite matched her numbers for regular submissions.
I still haven’t. But I’ve been keeping up my goal of sending two things out per week. Even today, after just returning home with Tim from a museum/antique shop/hangin’ together road trip, I submitted one story to two places. I have five different written pieces in front of eight editors. One of these weeks I might make that ten goal, but this’ll do fine for now.
And regarding the trip, there will be pictures.

Good luck with your submissions.
And pictures would be very cool.
