I read somewhere that the best place to bury a dog is in the heart of her mistress. They are our servants. We are theirs. They teach us so much about forgiveness and unconditional love. Your post is an eloquent tribute to Brindy, your friend and companion.

I envy you having your Mom with you. That's a breathtaking gift.

My condolences seem like such cold words, but I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad she had an easy passing. ((hug))

As I read this, I happened to be listening to an album of Randy Travis singing of old hymns--and my favorite was playing: "The Unclouded Day," which is about heaven.
I don't particularly believe in a literal heaven for myself, but I tell ya, if anyone's going to heaven, it's our little animals. I picture them there right now, running about the woodpile with unclouded eyes...
Mine are all teary now.
Bless you and Brindy.

Our little guy gives us more joy than we could have imagined. Isn't that the way.
Glad you had this unexpected gift of your Brindy.

Yes, Milton, I know it's hard to believe. You were one of her most favorite people. Thanks for being part of our story with Brindy.
