I haven’t paid a lot of attention to Paul, though he’s said some things that are important to me (I think we’ve talked about his cosmic whine: Why don’t I do the things I love?!?!”).
I suspect he would have LOVED a BlackBerry too!

Though I’m no scholar, having studied Paul’s writings a bit, and having decided translation and interpretation are interesting, somewhat flexible arts (as long as the truth is seriously sought), I’ve concluded that Paul would likely say “you fill in the blank,” especially after seeing how many different English words get used to translate this verse.

I also had him say “the inward me” instead of the “the inward man,” because I’m convinced he would use that term were he here today. Unlike some theologians, I think Paul was for people of both genders and not on a power trip when it came to being male. (Thanks for the chance to soapbox there a little.)
